Call Scheduler: FAQ Q: Call Scheduler seems to update slowly. Is there anything that can be done to make it faster? A: Unfortunately, the speed is due to the way Call Scheduler accesses data. While this can be a bother, it is also the reason the program is easy to maintain and relatively inexpensive to operate. If it becomes a critical issue in the future, we'll address it. Q: I'm part of XYZ club. They use this service. I don't see their event listed when I log on. A: There can be several reasons for this: - The club may not have updated their list of members or their list may not include your call.
- The event may not be set up in Call Scheduler yet.
- You may have made an error when entering you call.
- If the event is regional, and you are not in the specified region, you will not be able to access that event.
- You may have been excluded from a certain event.
Return To Top Q: Who maintains my password? A: YOU DO! Well, mostly... How your password is originally set depends on whether you are listed as an organization member and if you have ever accessed this service before. I am not a member of any organization, and I have not established an account. In this case, once you enter you call and press the OK button, you will be presented with an update form. At this point, you will not be able to set a password but you will be able to request a password via e-mail. When you use that e-mailed password, this establishes your account, and you will be prompted to change that password to something of your choosing. I am a member of an organization, but I have not accessed this service before. Organization administrators have the option of establishing an initial password for you. If they have done so, you should enter that assigned password in the logon screen. Otherwise, just enter your call and no password, and make sure the "Req. E-Mail Confirmation" check box is set. The system should e-mail a temporary password. I am a new member of this organization. I've already established an account and my password: What do I do? Nothing! Once you have created a password, it doesn't change unless you change it.
Q: I'm trying to log on to Call Scheduler, but it keeps telling me that my password is incorrect. What should I do? A: It may be that someone accidentally logged on as you and set a password. Please send me an e-mail requesting your password be reset. Be sure to have "RESET PASSWORD" in the subject line! Return To Top Q: The schedule is "blocked out" the wrong date or UTC time! A: The program relies on your computer clock for date and time reference. If your computer clock or time zone are set wrong, it will block out the wrong dates/times. Q: What happens when several people want to schedule the same time? A: The one who hit's the 'Submit' button first, wins. If there is a conflict, Organization administrators have the ability to change schedules. |
